For this Lit. Circles, all Anne, Sam, and Sandihya really did was talk, share, ask, and answer our questions. (We have to write about two passages, two questions [with answers], and two vocabulary words) Sanidhya had questions that were both answered in the book, and didn't have four to six sentences. Sam only had one that didn't have at least for sentences. Anne was fine and one of my sentences (the first which I thought was actually really good) didn't have an example from the book but that is because it was an opinion question so if there was evidence from the book, that would mean the question is answered in the book which is not a kind of question we want. We want questions that go into "the second level". Like trying to understand more about the book that will not be answered in the book. If you have a bad answer, yes you can be sad but you shouldn't feel bad for long. You have to take what you did wrong, learn from it, and do better next time to improve grades and to succeed in anything. If you keep getting it wrong, keep studiying it. Study it even furthur. And always try again. (There's a saying like "There's no crime in falling. Only in refusing to get back up again." =D) Back to the subject; I don't know why we don't ever share our vocabulary anymore because if we don't share it, why do we even have to write it down? I really want to share mine and others because I have to boost my range of vocabulary soon. I hope we can the next, and (i think) last time.

Lit Circles' #3
Okay! This time it's of course on chapters five and six and in chapter six they meet a new friend named Eloise (pronounced Ell-O-eeze). She's older than Will (so YES she IS capped) but she's shorter than him (Will made the assumption that she was younger than him because she is shorter than him) She is capped but she doesn't act like it. For example; Since Beanpole, Henry, and Will are in a whole different country, Eloise wore a turban for some reason (which I will reveal to you shortly). Will, very curious, practically grabs it off her head and she is very ashamed because her hair was very short and you could see the lining of her cap. It was a tradition in her culture that girls were supposed to wear the turban thing. It was even said that a man was killed for such offense so if a girl is wearing a turban for no reason, DON'T PULL IT OFF!!!!!

Lit Circles #2's #2!
This time, Will and Henry meet a new friend named Zhan-Pole (which is what it sounds like) but Henry nicknames him Beanpole (which sounds like Beam-Pole) and he has this "weird contraption" (which we know as glasses) on his face to help him look at things better. This time, Sanidhya is the only one who didn't do his Lit. Circles in the whole class! It was a major improvement though and the next time we do Lit. Circles, everyone has to bring their Lit. Circles printed, and ready to go by Wednesday (tomorrow from the day I wrote this) so on Friday we can get a "surprise" treat during class. I think (technically know) it's going to be a chocolate cookie!!! I like chocolate a lot! How about you? I only know two people who don't like chocolate in my grade so I thought they were crazy!
Signing off!

Lit Circles!!! NUMERO DOS!!!
Remember when I did Maroo of the Winter Caves for literature circles? Well now I'm on a new book called "THE WHITE MOUNTAINS" by John Christopher. I'm with one person who is the same in my group from last time and a new student in my group as well. Sanidhya (from my last group), Sam, and Anne W (new student) is in my group this time so it's actually a pretty good combo! The book is about these giant tripods that landed on Earth and took over society and to do so, they capped people to control their minds. Not entirely but my class thinks it has something to do with giving information to the people. My class also knows that when you have all the information in the world, you are in the government, and you also create a religion for your society, you can become a very powerful person. So powerful, that you can control how people think but not manipulating them or hurting them in any way. Those who the capping has not worked for them, they become vagrants but the government and people of towns with vagrants take care of them by giving them one huge house for them to share, and giving them food even though they don't work at all. Will, the main character, is running away to the White Mountains to escape the wrath of the Tripods because everyone wants to think for themselves, right? The Tripods are so powerful because they have information, they created a religion for their people, and they are the government so they control pretty much everything! John Christopher's book was originaly an adult book (the one I'm reading is the children's book) and while we're reading it, we are watching the t.v. show that was based on it called "The Tripods" So I suspect that this book and this trilogy should be very interesting to read if there is a t.v. show based on it.
