I can't believe half the school year has gone by so fast! That just means I'll be leaving soon...Anyways! It's just about time for REFLECTION!!! Do you remember how I said my academic achievement was to have good time management? I think I'm almost getting there! It's working out almost exactly how I want it to so it's going pretty good! Now do you remember my social goal was to make loads of friends and less enemies? Well, thing's aren't perfect like to get everyone to like me but that's natural because not everyone can like you except if you're Sari (my best friend who moved to Paris) and the only way for people to dislike her or hate her which is unlikely) is if people are jealous of her which would be more likely for girls. But other than that exception (because [to me she is very sweet and....] she is annoyed with herself that she can't ever frown or get angry) for everyone to like you is pretty much impossible!
There are loads of skills that I have learned this year! I've learned how to check powerschool, moodle, and google apps which I had no idea what it was used for before until I actually needed it which was this year! Another achievement for me was that I have changed from being very stuck-up and aggressive little kid but now I've learned to be a bit more patient and way more modest and now I have so many friends! They might not be my best friend but they still help me a lot! Another achievement for me would be that I'm way more artistic than I was before when I was younger. I might not be the best but I think I'm definitely not the worst!
I want to finish learning how to ride a skateboard, unicycle and I want to learn how to juggle balls or bowling pins because I've always wanted to ride a skateboard and I've tried the others in Circus arts last year and I can almost use a unicycle and I can juggle scarves! Other things I want to learn are things like getting better in math like learn pi by heart, get better at HCF and LCM (highest common factor & lowest common multiple) and more things. But the biggest goal for me, is to get at least B+ in all my classes because otherwise, I can't go back to my old school and I'll miss my old friends as much as anything and I'm positively sure that I'm going to miss my KL friends LOADS!!! I'm trying to keep my grades up until the end of the trimester (semester=2 parts of the school year & trimester=3) I know that what makes school something that's my favourite thing in the year is definitely my friends because they help me get through everything like bad times at school, homework, bad times at home, and loads more like advice about personal stuff so I will be really sad when any of my friends leave me and be even more upset when I leave this year so I want to make this the most memorable, best school year EVER!!!

MOTWCLCD #5
IT'S THE END OF THE BOOK!!! I'm not going to give away the ending by saying what happens. I'm only going to give vague parts of the story. Actually, there are only two really suspenseful parts!!! One, is when, Otak goes hunting in the blizzard but doesn't come back! By then, I was really sad because that means another character in the book dies. :( Anyways, the other part I wanted to share, was that Maroo has to undergo a face-to-face fight fight with a cave lion! It might not seem scary or freaky to some people but I would definitely be very scared if I had to do that because cave lions, standing on all fours, is already taller than me!!! I would be scared out of my mind so I'd be suprised or think you're lying if you said you wouldn't be until you actually have to undergo what Maroo must. I have to go now otherwise I'd probably tell you the ending so Bye you guys!!! Until next time!!!

MOTWCLCD #4 (Maroo of the Winter Caves Literature Circles Discussion #4)
Only a few more chapters and I can tell you guys the ending!!! Anyways, Maroo and Otak must go accross the mountain and they have to go to the village for help. Old mother advised Maroo and Otak to carry a staff with them so they can feel the ground just in case the areas where they are standing on is unstable. This doesn't really help because Maroo holds her staff with her right hand. Then when she steps on an unstable spot with her left foot, she falls down into it! After this happens, the avalanche she causes falls down on top of her but for some reason, Otak seems to get himself out of there just in time!!! As soon as he helps her and they both catch their breath, they are back on the journey!!! My group and I all agreed that when Maroo was under the avalanche was one of our favourite parts because it was so suspenseful!!! We all love the suspenseful parts in our story because it gets us really excited and that's when I start reading it carefully but very quickly!!! It makes my heart beat rise a little bit because I want to know what happens next!

Maroo Literature Discussion #3
Back to where we left off. As you can see from last time, Areg, Maroo and Otak's father, has died by falling off a cliff while trying to hunt an ibex. Just in case you forgot, an ibex (pronounced eye-bex)is a wild goat. Because of this, Vorka also fell and broke his wrist but other than that, he's perfectly normal except for the fact that he was extremely upset because Vorka always admired Areg and Areg was is role-model. An emotion that is very understandable and not irregular if someone has passed away. Anyways, now that Vorka has a broken arm (he can't hunt for the family), Areg is not there anymore, Old mother has made the decision to send Otak and Maroo over the mountains to fetch help because the other half of their camp is already too far ahead to help them themselves. Everyone in my group(Cathrein, Hidayat, and Sanidhya)as well as me decided that if we had a choice to send the children off because we could survive for a bit, then I wouldn't let them go on ahead by themselves. But in this situation, I would have had to let them go on their own because otherwise everyone would probably die. We also agreed that it was indeed very sad and upsetting when Areg had died.

Maroo of the Winter Caves Discussion #2
And we're back with Maroo of the Winter Caves!!! I skipped a little and went on ahead with the book. So far, Maroo and Otak's (Maroo's 1st younger brother) father, Areg, fell off a cliff while trying to kill an ibex (wild goat) and his younger brother, Vorka has a broken arm and can't hunt for the family. This is where chapters 5,6, and 7 end.
The discussion went pretty smooth by my standard. But Sanidhya kept saying Tikek as Titek, Tatako and Totak! It was pretty funny but I corrected him about four times before Sanidhya actually said it correctly. My favourite mis-said version of Tikek was Tatako!!! It was so funny!!!

Maroo of the Winter Caves Discussion #1!!!
By Tuesday, we had to have read the first three chapters of Maroo of the Winter Caves, Printed out the Discussion Sheet, and be ready to talk! In my group, there was Catrein, Hidayat, and Sanidhya. I started off with my first passage out of the three we were supposed to do. Then, Hidayat started his but we soon realized that he read a bit ahead and thought that the beginning of Chapter 4, was pages 15-19! Soon after, Catrein did her first passage and so did Sanidhya. But it wasn't until after Sanidhya finished that Hidayat complained that he didn't finish his passage and there was actually some part of why he actually picked pages 15-19. After I read my secong passage, Catrein said she liked mine and Hidayat did one of the pages I did for my last passage. In fact, Everyone except Sanidhya had the same reason for about the same pages! It was really cool but very weird. Later, when we did our vocabulary words, Catrein started then next it was Sanidhya's turn. Sanidhya had the exact same words as me! Only he didn't find the other definition of his last vocabulary word so I just told him what it meant. Whew! That seemed like a long discussion. After all, we talked for about an hour!

Hey!
Hey Guys! It's Erin again. What's up? We were given an assignment on social scientist. If I were a social scientist, I would probably be an archaeologist. I would be an archaeologist because I would get to look for bones and dig a lot. Another reason why I would like to be and archaeologist is that two years ago, when my family and I went on vacation, we found these kits that would let you be a kid archaeologist in an outdoor market! I finished my first kit in two days. It was so much fun and I would like to experience it for real. If you could be a social scientist, what kind would you be?
P.S. My kit was trying to find bones of a T-Rex!

Me, Myself, and I
Hi guys! My name is Erin. I'm a Canadian who LOVES hanging out with friends. I like to read and write my own books or songs, listen to music, and I'd have to say I also like to act. I have got one dad, one mom, and no siblings. Right now, I'm living in Malaysia because my mom got transferred for her job. My favourite books are The Prophecy of the Stones by Flavia Boujor, The Series called Ranma 1/2, and Inuyasha both by Rumiko Takahashi. Remember, these books and anything I like might change over the years. My favourite movie would probably be the Inuyasha Movie #4. The one academic goal I have is to have good time management. My social goal is to make more friends and less enemies. My favourite vacation memory is when I visited Canada and finally got a sleepover with one of my best friends! It was so much fun! I'd say, five adjectives to describe myself would be Nice, Caring, Generous, Smart, and Random. See you guys!
